Welcome to
Specialized Student Allies

It is with a heavy heart and after a great deal of consideration that I have made the decision to step away from my role as an educational advocate.

Supporting families through the IEP process and helping children access the services they deserve has been incredibly meaningful work... work that I care deeply about. It has truly been an honor to walk alongside so many families during some of their most challenging moments.

At this time, I need to shift my focus to my own family. This field requires a significant amount of emotional and mental energy, and with two young boys at home, I want to be fully present for them in this season of life.

I am so grateful for the trust families have placed in me, and for the relationships built along the way. While this chapter is coming to a close, my passion for supporting children and families will always remain.

Thank you for being part of this journey with me. 🤍

Frequently Asked Questions

Are you still accepting new clients?
No, I am no longer accepting new clients as I transition away from my role as an educational advocate.

Will you continue working with current clients?
If you are a current client, I will communicate directly with you regarding next steps and any remaining support or transition planning.

Can you recommend another educational advocate?
Yes. I recommend visiting the Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates (COPAA), a trusted national organization that provides a directory of advocates and attorneys who support families navigating special education services.

You can search their directory here: https://www.copaa.org/page/Directory

Will you return to advocacy in the future?
At this time, I am focusing on my family and do not have a set timeline for returning. However, I remain deeply passionate about this work and the families it serves.

Can I still reach out with questions?
While I may not be able to provide direct advocacy services, I appreciate your understanding as I limit my availability during this time.

Do you offer any resources for families?
I encourage families to explore reputable organizations like COPAA, Wrightslaw, and their local parent resource centers for guidance, education, and support.

Thank you again for your understanding and for being part of this work.
